1. Data controller
The PawSpot service is operated by Rade Malič, Slovenia. For privacy questions, email info@pawspot.si.
2. Data we may process
- account information, such as your email address, account identifier, optional display name and profile photo;
- content you voluntarily enter, including places, descriptions, photos, ratings and suggested corrections;
- saved and visited places and other choices in the app;
- location data when you grant permission and use a feature that needs it;
- basic technical data for security, troubleshooting and operation.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We use data to create accounts, show nearby places, plan routes, provide weather and safety features, support users and protect the service. Processing is based on providing the service, your consent to device permissions, our legitimate interest in secure operation, or a legal obligation.
4. Location and SOS
Location is used only when you enable it and use a related feature. SOS Panic can share your location with a contact you choose. It does not call 112 or contact emergency services.
You can change location permission in your device settings at any time.
5. Service providers
We may use trusted providers for hosting, databases, maps, weather, notifications and AI features. They receive only the data needed to provide the relevant service.
Contributions you choose to publish as community content may be visible to other users together with the information you include.
6. Retention and security
We keep data for as long as needed to operate your account, provide the service, resolve requests and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.
7. Your rights
Where the law allows, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your data and object to processing. Send your request to info@pawspot.si. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia.
8. Account and data deletion
Request deletion by emailing from the address linked to your PawSpot account. Contact info@pawspot.si and use the subject Izbris računa PawSpot. We may need to verify your identity to protect your account.
Deletion covers your account, profile and personal data linked to the account. Anonymised community information may be retained if it can no longer be linked to you. Data may be retained temporarily for backups, preventing abuse or legal obligations.
9. Children
PawSpot is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that a child’s data was collected without appropriate permission, we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the app or applicable law develops. The current version will always be available on this page.
